SUBMIT A STORYProviding comfort, hope, and confidence to children in urgent need
Subaru and its retailers partner with Operation Warm® to visit local homeless shelters and support agencies to provide children with brand-new necessities like coats, shoes, and socks.
These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, they can also have a significant impact on a child’s mental and emotional well-being.
Through this partnership and other historical Subaru Loves to Help efforts, Subaru and retailers like us will have supported over 1 million children and adults in urgent need nationwide.
At Subaru, we believe what we leave behind is a reflection of who we are. That’s why Subaru and our retailers partner with the Arbor Day Foundation (TM) to provide and distribute 100,000 regionally appropriate trees across the country. We’re proud to establish the largest corporate tree distribution ever. Through this and other Subaru Loves the Earth initiatives, Subaru and our retailers have helped distribute and plant over 1.1 million trees.
Subaru believes we should all have a chance to lead a healthy life. That’s why for over 10 years, Subaru and its retailers like us have partnered with Blood Cancer United® and our local hospital to give warm blankets and encouraging messages of hope, written by our employees and customers, to support our community members living with cancer. Through our combined efforts during this partnership, we have supported over 550,000 cancer patients nationwide. Together, we are proud to be Blood Cancer United’s largest automotive donor.
Subaru and its retailers, like us, are continuing our support of education and high-needs schools in our communities through Subaru Loves Learning(R) by providing teachers across the country with funding to purchase the school supplies and resources they know are needed to help students thrive in the classroom. Through our partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, Subaru and its retailers have supported more than 950,000 students nationwide and are proud to be their largest corporate supporter.
Subaru believes all pets deserve a loving home. That's why retailers like us partner with our local animal welfare organization every October to provide direct financial assistance through a grant distributed by the ASPCA® and host pet events to help animals find loving homes. Through our partnership with local and national organizations, Subaru has donated over $70 million, supporting the rescue, adoption, and health of over 700,000 animals. We're proud to be the largest corporate donor to the ASPCA.
Subaru and its retailers believe in giving back to our communities. That's why for every new vehicle sold or leased during the Subaru Share the Love event, Subaru and its retailers, like us, makes a donation to national charities that our owners care about and to over 2,700 local charities where Subaru owners live and work.
Now, after 17 years, Subaru and our retailers have donated nearly $320 million to charity all to give back and to make the world a better place.
Our Love Promise can be seen in various partnerships with local charities and non-profits. We're grateful for the opportunity, not only to be a part of our community, but to serve it as well.
Subaru and Halladay Subaru believe in making a positive impact on the communities in which we live and work. We uphold that belief through our Love Promise Community Commitment. Every month, we select inspiring stories from customers and partners from around our area who strive to support our collective commitment and feature them here.

Our family was incredibly grateful to receive a free tree from Halladay Subaru during the Subaru Loves the Earth event. It means so much to us to be part of an effort that gives back to the community while helping create a healthier environment for future generations. Small acts like planting a tree can make a lasting impact, and we're thankful to Halladay Subaru for making this opportunity possible. It's wonderful to see a local business investing in initiatives that encourage families and communities to come together for a greater purpose. We loved planting our tree and can't wait to watch it grow in the years to come. Knowing that our family can play a small role in making our community greener, healthier, and more beautiful is truly rewarding. This experience has sparked conversations in our home about sustainability and the importance of caring for the environment, which makes the gift even more meaningful. We hope this tree will serve as a lasting reminder of how positive community partnerships can inspire change and encourage others to take part in protecting our planet. Thank you again to Halladay Subaru and everyone involved with the Subaru Loves the Earth event for your generosity and commitment to environmental stewardship. Programs like this not only brighten neighborhoods with more greenery, but they also strengthen the sense of community here in Pine Bluffs. We are proud to support efforts that help make our city an even better place to live for generations to come.

When I picked up a free tree from Subaru, I didn't expect it to mean much more than a simple act of kindness. But I knew exactly who I wanted to give it to: my dad. He's always been someone who quietly gives, who shows up, and who has helped shape the person I'm becoming. Gifting him that tree felt like a small way to say thank you—for the lessons, the support, and the love that often goes unspoken. What started as a free tree will grow into something much deeper—a living reminder that even the smallest gestures can take root and become meaningful. Thank you, Subaru, for helping me share something that will continue to grow.

Halladay Subaru, alongside Jim Casey, continues to be a driving force in helping our community thrive. As the dedicated sponsor and host of the United Way $15,000 car voucher incentive, they create excitement and opportunity for workplace donors. By opening their showroom each year and investing in this meaningful tradition, Halladay Subaru brings people together in support of a stronger, more connected Laramie County. Their generosity, both as a business and through employee giving, helps ensure our community not only succeeds, but truly thrives. Thank you Halladay Subaru!

Thank you to Halladay Subaru for the gift of pillows and blankets for our patients. During chemotherapy patients may be sitting or lying down in their infusion chairs for long periods. The IV fluids cause the patients to be cold. The donation by Halladay Subraru will help warm and comfort them during a trying time in their lives. These donations also help acknowledge the struggles of these patients. One patient stated, "it is really nice to have these gifts from different places in town, it makes me feel seen and like the community knows I am here fighting this battle." Another patient said, "The blanket was really cool, it has a pocket and can also be used as a pillow. It is amazing and warm; it also has sentimental value due to it having the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society label on it. They are so good to me!"

Safehouse Services is the domestic violence shelter in Cheyenne WY. We were lucky to be the recieptant of the 150 pares of shoes and socks. For our clients we are meeting them on the worst day of their life and it is even worse for the children that are involved. For alot of our kids that are in the shelter they may only have 1 pair of shoes. They might not even have tennis shoes let alone socks that don't have holes in them. We are grateful to Hallday Subaru for choosing us to work with and helping us with this amazing opportunity. This is indescribable feeling to be able to give these socks and shoes away.

At Halladay Subaru, we believe education is the foundation of a strong community. We’re grateful to stand alongside our local schools and celebrate the educators who make a lasting difference in the lives of their students. On October 18, 2025, Halladay Subaru proudly partnered with the Cheyenne Animal Shelter to host a Subaru Loves Pets Vaccine Clinic offering free vaccines and microchips for local pets in need. It was a day filled with wagging tails, grateful smiles, and a whole lot of community love. From energetic puppies to wise senior cats, pets of all kinds came through our doors, each one receiving the care they needed to stay healthy and happy. Because love isn’t just about finding homes, it’s also about caring for the pets who already have them. ❤️ Thanks to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter team, their amazing volunteers, the other community partners that were here that day, and the support of the Subaru community, dozens of local pets received essential vaccines and wellness care that day - all part of our ongoing Subaru Love Promise to keep pets safe, healthy, and loved. At Halladay Subaru, We Love Pets and it shows. 🐶🐾💙

This month, the Subaru Pet Health Fair at Halladay Motors became a beautiful example of what can happen when a community comes together for the love of animals. In just a few short hours, more than 220 pets received care—523 vaccines and 82 microchips, all provided completely free of charge thanks to generous grant funding. Behind every number was a story: a family relieved, a pet protected, and a bond strengthened. The event united five local veterinary clinics, human service organizations, and pet vendors—each bringing their time, talent, and compassion to ensure no pet was left behind. Together, they turned a parking lot into a place of hope and healing. One man, the owner of a small pug with big brown eyes, said he felt “beyond grateful” to finally get his best friend up to date on vaccinations. His dog, he shared, has been his constant source of comfort through life’s hardest moments. “He’s all I have sometimes,” he said quietly, tears welling as he watched the vet gently pat his dog’s head. “I just want to take care of him the way he takes care of me.” Moments like that are why we do this work. They remind us that every vaccine, every microchip, and every wagging tail carries a story of love and resilience. Thanks to Halladay Motors, Subaru, and the incredible local partners who showed up to help, hundreds of pets are safer tonight—and hundreds of hearts are a little lighter. Because when our community comes together, compassion truly is in action.

When you walk into David’s modest home in Laramie County, you’re greeted not just by the warm smile of a kind-hearted man, but by the wagging tail and soulful eyes of Rebel—the Wonder Dog. Rebel isn’t just a pet. He’s David’s best friend, his constant companion, and, in many ways, his reason to keep going. David lives alone. Like many in our community, he faces the daily challenges of aging on a fixed income. But for David, the hardest choice he ever had to make wasn’t about himself—it was about Rebel. With rising utility costs and limited resources, David found himself in an impossible position: pay the electric bill or buy food for his beloved dog. He couldn’t do both. “I’d rather go hungry than let Rebel suffer,” David told us. “He’s been with me through everything. He’s my family.” That’s where Meals on Wheels of Cheyenne stepped in. Thanks to the support of our community and partners like Halladay Subaru, we were able to deliver more than just meals to David—we delivered hope. Every day, a friendly volunteer brings David a hot, nutritious meal and a warm smile. But they also bring something else: peace of mind. Because of Meals on Wheels, David no longer has to choose between feeding himself or Rebel. They both eat. They both thrive. And they both feel less alone. Rebel, ever the loyal sidekick, now greets our volunteers with joyful barks and tail wags. He knows they’re part of the family too. David often says, “Meals on Wheels didn’t just save me—they saved Rebel. And Rebel saves me every day.” This is what the Share the Love Promise means to us. It’s not just about meals. It’s about dignity, companionship, and the quiet, powerful love between a man and his dog. It’s about making sure no one—human or animal—goes hungry or forgotten. Because of you, David and Rebel have more than food. They have each other. And they have us.

Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Cheyenne, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Halladay Subaru is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Halladay Subaru have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 02/04/2025, Halladay Subaru donated 300 shoes/socks to Safehouse Services - Cheyenne, WY. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.

Halladay Subaru and Mr. Jim Casey continue to demonstrate their deep commitment to the United Way of Laramie County. For many years, they have served as the sole sponsor and host for our workplace campaign’s car voucher incentive program, which enters eligible donors into a drawing for $15,000 toward the purchase of a vehicle. We were thrilled to hold this year’s drawing again in the beautiful Halladay Subaru showroom, surrounded by all of the finalists. Halladay Subaru also stepped up as a White Gold Sponsor at our 77th Anniversary Gala. Their support extends beyond corporate sponsorship, with employees personally contributing through workplace giving. Halladay Subaru’s ongoing generosity helps us to fund twenty-two essential collaborations and initiatives across Laramie County. Thank you to Halladay Subaru for leading by example!

This season, as part of the Subaru Loves to Help® initiative, Subaru and its retailers teamed up with Operation Warm to make a real difference for kids in need and provided more than 130,000 children across the country with brand-new coats, shoes, and socks. Right here in Cheyenne, our Halladay Subaru team had the privilege of delivering shoes to Cheyenne Safehouse, a local shelter offering safety and support to families escaping domestic violence. Shelby, one of our staff volunteers said this, "Caring has the gift of making the ordinary special and I feel truly blessed to be a part of a company who tries to go above and beyond for its community and allows me to take part in that effort. It really is an extraordinary thing to be able to give back to those whom may be going through unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances. You never know what someone else is going through, and you'll never be able to take that away from them. But you can take a few moments out of your day to show up, show support and just be present." We’re proud to support this mission and grateful to be part of a community that cares. 💙

For nearly a decade, Mr. Jim Casey and the Halladay Subaru team have been a positive force for good for Youth Alternatives. Through their enduring partnership with Youth Alternatives since 2017, they have played a pivotal role in empowering local youth to pursue higher education and brighter futures. Thanks to their ongoing generosity and commitment, Youth Alternatives has proudly awarded 53 scholarships to students in Laramie County. This past April, nine students were honored with scholarships to support the next step in their academic journeys. This fall, these students will be attending institutions including the University of Wyoming, Montana State University, and UCLA, pursuing careers in Architecture, Biology, Journalism, Nursing, Psychology, and more.

We were able to recieve a donation of 100 pairs of shoes and 100 pairs of socks to go with the shoes for our kiddos that are in our domestic violence shelter. This is a blessing to the kids that are in our shelter because they are with their moms who are victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and or stalking. Being able to give the kis new shoes so that they have something to feel good about and proud of, or even something for them to want to show off is such an incredible feeling. Working with Halladay Subaru in Cheyenne was such a blessing. The staff there to organize this was so easy to work with and considerate of our clients and their privacy. We are grateful to Halladay Subaru for consindering us and thinking about us again for this event and need. Seeing our kids through out being able to get new shoes and that they are in their favorite color or hearin ghtem talk about "how cool they are" "how comfy they are" "That they don't have holes in them" This is all possible because of this program through the Subaru dealership.

So excited about the tree I received from Halladay Subaru's "Subaru Saves the Earth" campaign this year! The sign-up was super easy, and pick-up instructions were perfect. It was great to see so many people picking up their trees, creating a real community vibe. My new tree feels like a meaningful step towards a greener planet. Huge thanks to Halladay Subaru for their generosity and for helping our community grow greener!

Halladay Motors Subaru has supported our Fanfare for Education event for 32 years, that's AMAZING!!! They donate a car, literally donate a car! We sell 500 tickets for $100 each, which is a nice profit for our school. Halladay Motors Subaru's Jim Casey and Mike Giessuebel make the process for our winner such an amazing experience, and I'm sure they gain a customer for life. Between the quality of the Subaru car they receive and the amazing customer service, we always have winners who are filled with such gratitude. Halladay Motors Subaru is always present at our Fanfare for Education event and is very supportive. They speak highly of our school and bend over backwards to support our community. We are incredibly grateful to them and look forward to a long relationship with them. Thanks so much, Halladay Motors Subaru.

At Halladay Subaru, we’re passionate about supporting our community and dedicated to helping keep our neighborhoods vibrant, healthy, and thriving—today and for the future. Trees play a key role in that mission. They produce oxygen, cool our environment, filter water, clean the air, reduce flooding, and promote better health. Unfortunately, each year we lose trees to age, disease, pests, and extreme weather. That’s why we were proud to once again join Subaru and the Arbor Day Foundation in making a difference. This spring, through the Subaru Loves the Earth initiative, Halladay Subaru provided and distributed 100 mature, regionally suited trees that will benefit our community for generations. Nationwide, Subaru and its retailers distributed 100,000 trees this year alone. Altogether, more than 1.1 million trees have been planted through this growing partnership and other green initiatives. And we’re just getting started. Together, we’re building a greener, healthier Southeast Wyoming for generations to come.

We are so grateful for the Winter coats that were donated for the children we work with of victims of domestic vieolence. For our children in the shelter these kids are facing so much heart ache and loss and because of Subaru we are able to give them a brand new winter coat. Winter coats are not cheap and for our families who are living in our shelter they are deamed homeless and have walked away from most of their belongings and have given up so much. For the kids they see that too, they have lost a home, someone in their life and for some even some of their clothes. The graciousness that Halladay Motors Subaru has to give us this opportunity id undeniably a blessing. When they arrived they understood and respected our policiy for confidentialty. They helped us bring all the coats in and visited with all of the staff and learned more about Safehouse and what we do and how we help our community. We have been able to work with Halladay Motors in the past here in Cheyenne and this was the first time working with them in this capacity and it was truly a 100% experience. The best part about the experience was the kids being able to see all the coats and pick out exactly which coat they wanted. We are so grateful again to all the people at Halladay Motors Subaru and for helping bring the coats to us, helping unload them all and fillin up our room for the families to come and get and just for being involved. It is people like them that help us be able to do what we do on a daily basis easier.

Thank you to Halladay Subaru for partnering with us for a pet health fair, where we were able to offer free vaccines and microchips. We also collaborated with local veterinary clinics to raffle off 20 free spay/neuter surgeries. This clinic served 188 pets by providing 431 vaccines and 107 microchips! It was a busy day, but thanks to our dedicated volunteer team and the incredibly helpful staff, we were able to pull it off and serve a large number of community pets. It was truly inspiring to see so many people come together to support the health and well-being of our local pets. Thank you to Halladay Subaru for allowing us to use your location, helping with event setup, and being an amazing community partner. We could not have done it without you, and we are grateful to have provided such a valuable service to our Cheyenne community.

Over the past eight years, Mr. Casey and Halladay Subaru have provided scholarship funding to youth who have participated in Youth Alternatives programming. To date, Youth Alternatives has awarded over 45 scholarships through this partnership. This partnership has enabled youth to pursue degrees, training, or certifications in a diverse range of programs. Youth Alternatives continues to be fortunate through the generosity of Mr. Casey and Halladay Subaru. This scholarship partnership is just another example of the positive impact Mr. Casey and Halladay Subaru are making on the community and youth within it.

Halladay Subaru adopted Afflerbach Elementary School for the first time in 2023. Each grade level received $500 through the Adopt a Classroom program to spend on classroom items to benefit their students. These supplies were used for interventions, enrichments, and increased learning opportunities for our students. Teachers often spend a lot of money out of their pockets to supplement student learning and this donation helped ease that burden. Each grade level also received an amazing box full of supplies. From pencils to expo markers, stickers to items for teacher treasure boxes, the supplies will be put to great use by the Afflerbach school community. We are ever so grateful to our local Subaru dealership for this generous gift. It will make a difference in our student's lives.

Since 2016, Subaru of America, Inc. has partnered with the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to provide warm blankets to support nearly 350 patients facing cancer nationwide. Halladay Subaru was proud to partner with Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Foundation, and the Cancer Center again this year to provide these blankets. Micah Sneed, Oncology Social Worker, with CRMC said, "The blankets that have been offered for our patients have made a difference beyond what most would expect. Many of our patients experience ongoing cold sensitivity while they are on chemotherapy, negatively impacting their quality of life. The blankets are an amazing way to improve their comfort to make their treatment journey that much easier. Thank you so much for your support of our patients!" Thank you CRMC for the care you provide these patients!

For the past number of years Halladay Subaru has generously donated the use of courtesy vehicles to shuttle our members to and from our annual Christmas House event. This is the annual fund raiser for Women's Civic League of Cheyenne. All net proceeds are given back to the community through grants, scholarships and service projects. Securing sponsorships greatly helps keep our expenses down so we have more funds to address our community's needs. Jim Casey and Shawn Smith have been so willing in accommodating us in our requests. Our members truly appreciate the comfort and ease of riding in these vehicles each year.

Puppies. Everyone loves puppies. Black Dog Animal Rescue was fortunate enough to have an adoption drive at the Cheyenne Halladay Subaru on October 20, 2023. We brought dogs (some underdogs!), puppies, cats, and kittens. The puppies were a big hit. Not even 30 minutes into the event, two of the cute Heeler puppies were already connected with their forever families. With our partnership, we were able to offer $100 off all adoptions, which is such a wonderful offer. We had an adult dog underdog, Martha, who was born for a cleft palette and a crooked jaw. Because of this Subaru event, Martha was able to get more exposure and meet new people. Unfortunately Martha didn’t find her home that day, but it helped get her name and face out there! We are so thankful for our partnership with Halladay Subaru of Cheyenne!

The sweet, gentle pitbull got adopted in 2017 after Black Dog Animal Rescue transferred from Rawlins, Wyoming. She was so loved for 6 years until sadly her beloved owner passed away. Zina found herself back with us. She was so sad and depressed the first week back, you could tell there was no sparkle in her eye. Some terrible person before we rescued her (the first time) had cropped her ears and left the stitches in. Luckily we noticed them and quickly got her taken care of. What a relief she must have felt! Fast forward a couple weeks and sweet Zina was still with us. Halladay Subaru and BDAR decided to team up for a Saint Patrick's Day adoption event. A nice family came in with their eyes on another young energetic dog we had for adoption. Little did they know... they fell in love with Zina instead. Later that week, they came back in and took Zina on a trial adoption. It went so smooth! They couldn't imagine not adopting her. She was the perfect addition to their kids and the rest of the family. Without the adoption drive at Halladay Subaru in Cheyenne Zina would have never stolen the hearts of her forever family. We are so thankful for our partnership.

Halladay Subaru has been a huge supporter of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce since they joined in 1944. Every summer we are reminded of the great work they do in our community at the Annual Chamber Banquet, which Halladay Motors has served as the presenting sponsor of for many years. WY We Care: At your Cheyenne Chamber, we work everyday to prove there’s no place like Cheyenne. Halladay Motors gets it. Day-in and day-out, the team at Halladay Motors works to build up our Cheyenne community and make our home a great place to live, work, and do business. Standing in the Gap Your Cheyenne Chamber is committed to standing in the gap for business and warding off any attempt to cause harm. We’re fighting for you at the local, state, and federal level because we believe there’s no place like home. Wyoming deserves the best of us, and we’ve got the courage needed to handle lions, and tigers, and bears! In addition to carrying the issues of the businesses in our region, your Cheyenne Chamber’s efforts have been recognized and requested by business organizations across this state and across our nation. We now represent the Wyoming Retail Association, and we manage a statewide coalition of chambers to achieve an exceptional business climate in our state. In fact, our business coalition has over 7,000 businesses under our tent, and we are the largest grassroots business voice in the state. Growing Cheyenne’s Economy Your Cheyenne Chamber firmly believes that we must commit ourselves to economic development centered around the desire to help every business achieve their dreams and aspirations. That means we’re fighting for the reform of regulatory hurdles that increase the cost of both housing and commercial developments, we’re facilitating the development of keystone projects that enhance our economic development, we are obtaining data to drive decisions for economic growth, and we are aiding business start-ups and expansions of local companies. Our economic development strategy covers everything from the Sentinel Missile Program to Housing to Healthcare to Childcare to Transportation to Infrastructure. Maximizing Our Potential Your Cheyenne Chamber’s education and talent development initiatives are more than organizational knowledge and capacity. It is also about empowering our people young and old to expand their minds and intellectual capacity. How do we do this? Maybe it’s our intern extern project, Venture, or maybe it’s working with education at all levels through our North Star initiative. Ultimately our education and talent development approach is about people. Our goal is to maximize the potential of our people from the youngest citizen to our seniors. Maximizing people builds our community and creates a resilient future that can handle any challenge. Our Sense of Community Your Chamber is building a sense of community that increases our quality of life. That means we’re working with our Military Affairs Committee to support those among us whose lives are dedicated to living with courage each day, our men and women in uniform. Our Leadership Cheyenne Program works to build our hearts to lift up our people and our community development projects use the smartest among us, our brains, to build a quality community for the future. How To Change The World Your Cheyenne Chamber is honored to work with community partners like Halladay Motors to build a better future for Cheyenne. Halladay Subaru has been a great supporter of Wyoming Athletics for many years. They look at their partnership as a way to support the student athletes and help them succeed, especially in our Women's Sports and Olympic Sports programs. During COVID when games were being cancelled and attendance reduced, sponsors were offered the chance to defer their partnership until things were back on track. Halladay insisted they wanted to keep supporting those athletes and the University during that tough time. Their partnership means a great deal to Wyoming Athletics and the student-athletes and we hope to continue working with them for many, many years.

Halladay Subaru continues to be a committed supporter of United Way of Laramie County. Each year sponsors the Car Voucher incentive for our annual workplace campaign. Eligible United Way donors are entered into a drawing to win $15,000 toward the purchase of a vehicle. This year, we were thrilled to be invited to hold our 2022 drawing at the beautiful, new Halladay Subaru location. Also, this year, Halladay Subaru supported United Way's 75th Anniversary Celebration of service to Laramie County and donated a majority of their table at this elegant celebration to be filled by United Way's volunteers and non-profit partners. Halladay Subaru has not only shown their support as an organization, but their employees continue this trend of generosity by participating in employee giving. This continued support helps us provide funding to our 20 non-profit partners and initiatives throughout Laramie County as well as our own VITA Free Tax Service and Community Schools Program. Thank you Halladay Subaru, for Living United!

With a shared vision of high-quality, accessible afterschool and summer programs, the Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne is honored to partner with Halladay Motors for fundraising events such as the Back-A-Kid Breakfast. This special event was recently held in May 2023, serving as a morning of fun and inspiration for the Cheyenne community, ultimately making it possible for the Club to serve members for just $10 per year. As a Presenting Sponsor of the event, Halladay Motors set the stage for success, allowing the Club to bring in Super Bowl 50 Champion Ryan Harris as the keynote speaker. Attendees also had the opportunity to hear directly from Boys & Girls Club representatives including CEO Justin Pendleton and 2023 Wyoming Youth of the Year, Esther Martin. With Halladay Motors’ support, this event was a tremendous success, not only raising funds for the Club but also empowering community members to find their “why” and continually advocate for Laramie County youth. In the words of Ryan Harris, “I am. I can. I will.” With Halladay Motors on our team, we WILL make Great Futures a reality for the youth who need us most!

Juniper came to Wyoming from a Texas shelter back in January 2022. She was deteriorating in the shelter pretty quickly. Juniper, also referred to as Junie, is a highly active Pit Bull mix, with the most beautiful & soulful eyes. She came to Black Dog Animal Rescue and was enrolled in our P.A.C.K (Preparing Adoptable Companion K9s) program. She lived with an inmate for 9 weeks at a medium-security prison. She learned all kinds of fun things! She can sit, shake, lie down, and more. One thing Junie loves more than anything are tennis balls. She could and would play fetch all day every day if you'd let her. They are her security. She passed the PACK program with flying colors and graduated in July, but still... no adoption applications came in for her. July quickly turned into September and then October. She's an awesome dog, so all we imagine deterring people was her bully breed, unfortunately. She finally received an application! Someone who was an avid hiker and lived on a piece of land that Juniper could play ball on all day. The husband is a firefighter and got called out to a job, so they had to reschedule her meeting. We were bummed and worried they wouldn't show up for the rescheduled time. This would be par for the course the way Juniper's luck had been going. They indeed showed up for the meeting and took Juniper home for a trial adoption. A couple of days later, they called and made it official! She is now home forever! This was made possible with the help of the $100 off adoption we were able to utilize thanks to Subaru! She has so much land to frolic on, chase tennis balls, and goes on a hike almost every day. There were tears of joy when the adoption was finalized. After 235 days in our care (not including the days in the multiple other shelters) Junie is finally home. She may have taken a long way home, but it certainly was the right way home for her! We are so thankful to work with our Halladay Subaru dealership to get these deserving "underdogs" home.

This fall, Halladay supported the Club’s Dancing with the Stars event, which brought over 800 guests together for a record-breaking evening of music, dancing, and celebration. Halladay Subaru has supported St. Mary's Catholic School for 29 years, the entire time of our Fanfare for Education fundraiser. Because of them we are able to do what we call The Ultimate Raffle. We sell 500 tickets for $100 each to win a brand new Subaru. Halladay Subaru, Mike Giessuebel and Jim Casey ensure that the winner of the Ultimate Raffle has an amazing experience selecting a car. People who purchase a ticket and win can't believe that they are given a car, no catch, Halladay's just gives them a car. Halladay's community support is incredible and they are so generous. We couldn't ask more of them and what they do for our school. Thanks so much Halladay Subaru, we are so grateful.

Halladay Subaru continues to show tremendous support to United Way of Laramie County. Halladay Subaru has contributed to United Way of Laramie County's, Car Voucher Program for many years and in 2021, they agreed to be the sole sponsor! The Car Voucher Program is an incentive program in which donors through their employee giving campaigns give a qualifying donation to United Way of Laramie County, in order to be entered in the drawing to win a $15,000 Car Voucher towards a car of their choice. Thanks to this generous incentive, over 575 car voucher entries were submitted alongside their donations to the 2021 Campaign. These donations to United Way help fund over 20 different programs and non-profit organizations in Laramie County that promote health, education and financial stability. In addition to providing this sponsorship, Halladay Motors agreed to host the final drawing for the car voucher on their showroom floor. This allowed all 13 finalists to gather for a lunch, at which time the winner was drawn. Lacy was transferred from a very overcrowded shelter in Laredo, Texas, all the way to Cheyenne, Wyoming. She was terrified in the shelter and was scared to come out of her kennel once she got off the plane. She was flown to Wyoming with the help of Dog is My CoPilot. We quickly learned that Lacy loved squeaky toys! With the help of the ASPCA and Subaru we were able to get Lacy spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. She attended our adoption drive held at our local Subaru dealership. She did great at the event, but still showed a little hesitation with new people. With the help of the Chewburu OutBark toys, the squeaky toy helped her feel less frightened at the event. Unfortunately that was not the day Lacy got adopted. The next week, a lovely family drove over 3 hours to come meet Lacy. It was an instant connection, and she found her home that day! With the help of our local Subaru, Lacy was able to go home with a New Pet Parent box. She got many squeaker toys, new leash, new collar, and more! She couldn't have been happier or prouder to have the best family and the best toys! We appreciate all Subaru does for us and our community. With the help of Subaru, BDAR was able to adopt out 59 dogs and cats in the month of October.

Thank you Halladay Subaru for supporting Wyoming low-income single mother families through a generous donation to Climb Wyoming. During the current COVID-19 crisis, Climb Wyoming staff are serving as a resource hub for moms and their children during this critical time of need. Climb’s model, developed over the past 34 years, intentionally creates structure, support, and skill-building in times of crisis. We’re helping families access the tools to calm chaos and chart a path in unfamiliar territory. Staff are meeting with single moms in safe, responsible ways to ensure these families are connected to community resources, while continuing to support them with advocacy, mental health needs, job training, and employment support. As Climb continues to support our candidates, graduates and participants, their safety and the well-being of our staff is top priority. The Cheyenne program was in the midst of a Professional Business Careers training when the pandemic hit. Staff pivoted quickly to connect these participants to technology in order to continue group and individual counseling, provide additional parenting resources, and complete the training in safe and responsible ways. Cheyenne Climb staff are currently researching a healthcare training to help fill local employer demand. Thank you, Halladay Subaru, for helping Climb not miss a beat in being right alongside the families that need us most. Together, we are making Wyoming families stronger so they are ready for whatever challenges and opportunities come their way.

Meals on Wheels of Cheyenne is very grateful to Halladay Subaru for their continued support of our program. Funds donated through "Share the Love" program are vital to our continuation of services and allowed us to not have a waiting list for food and services. Each person is assessed in their homes and other needed services are coordinated. The funds received allowed us to serve 5512 meals to seniors. and other homebound persons.Every year we reach out to the community for donations to support our mission, without the donation from Halladay Subaru we would have people on a waiting list who need food to survive. Our program also depends on volunteers to prepare, assemble and deliver meals each day. In 2018 we had over 33,000 hours of volunteer time and could not provide our services without their dedication and support. Drivers also check on the well being and safety of our people and we have emergency procedures in place to get help as quickly as possible. The community support we receive is vital for us to be able to meet our mission and community leaders like Halladay Subaru are committed to helping us achieve this goal. The need for meals is increasing annually and will continue to do so in the future. Support from the community will always be needed. Over the past three (3) years, Halladay Motors-Subaru has graciously awarded Youth Alternatives with scholarship funds in the amount of twenty five thousand ($25,000) to award to youth that have participated in Youth Alternatives' programs. The scholarships further their education at a trade school, university, or college in or outside of Laramie County. Many of these youth have had to overcome struggles and obstacles in life making this opportunity that much more impactful. Due to Halladay Motors-Subaru generosity, twelve (12) scholarships have been awarded over the last three (3) years. Of those, three (3) scholarship recipients have went on to graduate with bachelors degrees (teaching, psychology, business) and others are working towards graduating. We can’t thank Halladay Motors-Subaru enough for their continued support of Youth Alternatives but also the community of Cheyenne. Here is testimony from one (1) of the recent recipients of the scholarship: “Money has always been tricky for my family, my mother is single and raised me without much, if any, help from my father, and a nasty divorce left her in a lot of debt. She still recognizes how important a college education is and she has sacrificed everything in order to make sure I got the experience I wanted from school. Your donation allowed me to go to school, and for that, all I can say is thank you. The school has been everything I could have ever dreamed of, and it’s because of the kindness you have for your community that I am able to achieve my dream. Thank you for this scholarship, and for not giving up on the kids that have made mistakes and strived to learn from them. We will all be forever grateful for the opportunity.”

At the Y, everything we do is made possible by our donors. Recently, Halladay Subaru contributed $5,000 as a lead gift to our Annual Support Campaign. Every year we reach out to the community for donations to help support our mission to promote healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Donations support the word “all”. Donations support keeping the Y open and available to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. Everyone pays something. But, if you cannot afford our fees we will work with you. It helps to have some individual and business leaders kick start our efforts by giving generous donations at the start of our campaign. This year Halladay Subaru was one of those leaders. Their generosity has gone a long way to ensure that the Y will be able to continue our work in this community. In 2018 we taught and watched over more than 500 kids in our child care programs, taught over 1,000 kids to swim, helped more than 2,000 family members play together at community events, coached over 1,200 kids in youth sports, taught more than 1,200 adults in fitness classes and another 1,200 in water fitness classes and assisted more than 150 families and seniors with financial assistance. All of this was only possible with the support of donors like Halladay Subaru. In total we served over 18,000 people last year. We taught Diabetes Prevention to help adults learn new habits to get and keep themselves healthier; Adaptive Sports for Disabled Veterans; NeuroFit for people living with Parkinson’s; and a long list of other fitness and wellness classes. In the pool we taught children and adults water safety so they can enjoy swimming with friends and family. In youth sports we taught kids about teamwork, good sportsmanship and how to stay active. The Y is looking toward the future and how to help the Cheyenne community. The Y will continue to be the place for families by offering quality, affordable child care, family activities, swim lessons, youth sports and fitness classes. The Y will continue to be the place for seniors to enjoy health and wellness programs and to connect with friends. The Y will be a place for everyone by providing programs for all ages, an environment that welcomes all fitness levels and provides financial assistance. The Y. For a better you. For a better community. For a better country. Thank you Halladay Subaru!

Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne is so grateful to Halladay Subaru of Cheyenne. Through their continued generous support of our programs we have been able to accomplish so much for Cheyenne’s youth. During 2017, the Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne provided services to 900 youth for a $10 annual membership. All the programs and activities offered revolve around one of three core program areas: Healthy Lifestyles, Academic Success and Character & Citizenship. Examples of these program areas are our SMART Girls initiative where girls learn about healthy relationship, body image, mentorship and being a confident young woman. In addition our Passport to Manhood is a program that promotes and teaches responsibility to young men, consisting of 14 sessions, each concentrating on character development. Since this 2010 the Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne has had finalists in our 8 state regional art show.In addition, we initiated a new partnership Laramie County Community College, the creation of a college prep program for high school students. The high school youth program began February 15, 2018 in LCCC’s center for Conference & Institutes. The program focuses on academic success, character-building and healthy lifestyles for high school students, targeting juniors and seniors, however all high school students are welcome. The goal is that these young adults see the pathway to getting into college or career. It is one of kind program with integrated on campus experiences: students will learn about a variety of careers and meet professionals working in marketable industries; career and education support with Professors; hands on learning in laboratories; and healthy habits programs in the UW Outreach facilities taught by Cent$ible Nutrition.Thank you Halladay Subaru for making a difference in the lives of Cheyenne’s youth!

Halladay Subaru is an outstanding community partner! They are giving five scholarships of $2,000 each to Laramie County Community College students for a total of $10,000! This is going to be an amazing benefit to students in 2018 pursuing higher education in any field of study at LCCC. This will benefit students attending classes in Cheyenne. The LCCC Foundation would like to especially thank Jim Casey and Tim Joannides for honoring longtime Cheyenne philanthropist, John Clay with this scholarship! Halladay Subaru of Cheyenne, Wyoming decided to adopt our school for a book program they were offering. In the program, our school was allowed to choose from a list of award-winning science books that would help our school. Books were chosen to help supplement curriculum, chosen to entertain, and chosen to inspire the wonder of science in our students. The books were delivered to the 5th grade students who in turn distributed them throughout the school. The books have been a wonderful addition to our school and have inspired countless science ideas and dreams. Our school is incredibly grateful for the support of Halladay Subaru to our school!

Halladay Subaru, in partnership with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, participated in a “Share the Love” campaign to help blood cancer patients at Cheyenne Oncology and Hematology. Team members from Subaru, LLS and Cheyenne Oncology and Hematology donated 80 warm, fuzzy blankets with care cards and messages of hope from the community. They also delivered 10 care kits to younger patients so the children could draw, do crafts and break away from hospital life. The program is a great way for LLS and Subaru to connect with local hospitals and help blood cancer patients. “It was a rewarding experience to be able to brighten the patients’ day and wrap them in love by providing the Subaru blankets! The cancer journey is tough, so to lift their spirits is a wonderful feeling,” LLS Sr. Campaign Director Beth Muehlethaler said.
Did Halladay Subaru go above and beyond, provide exceptional service, or support causes that are important to you? We'd love to hear about it.
